Turtle Bower is aiming to serve a really neglected population, a community that amid it all still finds ways to band together, take care of each other, and survive. We’d like to do more than survive, we’d like to thrive, and that’s going to take more people and more support to lift us up and create the environments where we can succeed.
This is a grassroots, bootstrapping effort, your support is essential and deeply valued. Every little bit helps. In addition to needing lots of volunteers to build up our organization and liaison with potential resources–contact us if you’d like to help–we’ll need cash to cover the costs of building this lovely website, helping support our volunteers with honorariums, equipping the house to uplift communal function, building up a fund to pay the wages for a light support kitchen/house manager, and just keeping Valerie afloat while she continues to cultivate a healing, convalescent space.
We have a number of ways you can donate, choose what is best for you. Please consider a subscription of monthly support, small reliable donations can help steady this project.
